About Me:
Maryn’s work is primarily online based. She resides in the central Oregon area and is currently a senior at Oregon State University. She was in advanced art classes during her high school education making multiple AP portfolios that received high scores for all portfolios. After graduation, She continued her educational pursuits at Austin Community College where she majored in Motion Graphics for her Associate’s degree. She transferred to Oregon State a couple years after her first degree to obtain Her Bachelor’s through the art digital media program at the Cascades campus.
Maryn's work consists of multimedia projects that are meant to advertise products or services in a creative fashion to encourage audience attraction pertaining to motion graphics. She primarily uses the Adobe and Maxon Suite to create more realistic VFX and 3D elements within the realm of motion graphics. Maryn’s fine arts animation mostly focuses on the human condition and the human contemplation of life through the lens of a dystopian futuristic world where decay and advancement coincide. The themes she's often drawn to are the feelings of isolation and contemplation reflecting on my experience growing up with autism. The main ideas she focuses on in my work are psychological concepts of the human experience through looking into one’s self and personal struggle to overcome personal challenges such as connection, found family and mental health. Her work focuses on creating vibrant and wasteland scenes that often focus on one character through set design and expression. The viewer is able to contemplate on the mental state and situation of the character in the scene. As my career grows I plan on learning more advanced programs such as Houdini and Nuke to create more dynamic and realistic work.
